Run 5w-30 ... you should also check the api ratings on the brands you decide.. if you run synthetics you risk chance to leak for a better oil viscosity ... so if you go synthetic dont go back and forth... the next month...get a filter from a brand that does not go to universal with there products the extra buck on filters catch the floating debrees.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

2003 hyundai accent 1.5L. tapping like valves need adjusted but engine has hydraulic lifters. Do the lifters need replacement?

Probably a combination of parts. Lifters and or rocker arms. Could be dirty lifters also. If your ready to change oil, what I do is get the engine to operating temperature. Pour a half quart of transmission fluid in and let it run 15 to 20 minutes. It's high detergent and helps clean out the lifters. If the lifters are tapping from dirt, this will stop the tapping or at least quiet it down some.
