The check engine light can come on for many different reasons. There is only ONE reason for it to flash or "blinking" because excess or un-burned fuel is going into the exhaust and WILL damage the catalitic converter. The weak power and engine shaking is because not all cylinders in the engine are working. Most common causes are tune-up related. If you have a spark plug that does not work ( creates a spark to ignite the fuel which makes the engine run) this unburned fuel will go into the exhaust where the catalitic converter is located. This unburned fuel will cause excessively high temperatures in the converter and Will damage it. The most common reasons for no spark at the plugs- worn or defective spark plugs, spark plug wires or ignition coil. Hope this helps

2001 ford taurus engine light flashing with car shaking & dying when idles, car stops shaking while in neutral

Don't drive it anymore while the engine light is flashing, can do damage. Find someone with a scanner to scan what the problem is. Even a cheap OBDII scanner will work and narrow down the problem. Will give a code, then we can go from there.

Shaking engine ,engine light blinking, even when you accelerate in neutral

It sounds like you are not firing on all cylinders. there could be several possibilities. Starting with the cheapest fix, replace the spark plugs. if the problem continues, you have a bad or plugged fuel injector or possible other things. The best approach after changing the plugs is to take you car to a dealer or simply have your mechanic or a friendly neighborhood motor head pull the codes. This is the best avenue to start with. .

I have a 2003 ford windstar that shakes and the engine light blinks every few minutes and when the engine light blinks then my airconditioner blows warm air instead of cool. i have changed the spark plugs...

Someone will need to scan the computer for trouble codes to point you in the right direction for troubleshooting the problem.
When the engine is running rough the computer will cut off the ac.
Could be a fuel injector problem or weak coil or several other things.

Shaking engine, weak power, blinking check engine light

You have a bad coil pack, they usually crack from age and heat. It's best to replace them all. Check for a VW recall on this item.
