Question about 2007 Honda Fit Sport Hatchback

I jumped started my 2007 Honda Fit and the security system stopped working

My battery went dead, so I jump started my car. Now the security system wont work, radio wont turn on, no door chimes, no dome light, no headlight dummy alarm. I've checked fuses and couldn't find a burnt fuse. I'm thinking a security system relay or something to that sort. What you think?

ADDITONALLY, the car runs fine, everything else works. headlights, horn, ac, heater, pw, rear defrost etc etc. The security system, radio power doors, dome light, door chime, head light dummy alarm do not work. Power Locks work only with key in ignition.

Power Locks also dont work from remote, the only time Power Locks works is with key in ignition. Everything else works on the car and it runs fine except for all what i said was wrong with it.

and i used a battery charger/starter for cars/trucks. so unless the battery charger faulted which it never has before and always worked like a charm for the same vehicle before, and other vehicles.

SOURCE: 2006 honda accord wont start. nothing happens when

First make sure the shift lever is properly in the park position. Hondas tend to have little problem in that area after a few years.
Second make sure battery terminals are clean and secure. Next you should try jumping the battery. A low battery may produce enough electricity to run the radio, lights, chimes etc but not enough to crank engine.

You need to recode the alarm. You have to see if it's an aftermarket or factory alarm?

SOURCE: won't start, no turn over, no lights, nothing

Check the manual for the location in the underhood fuse box of the 80A battery fuse. None of your car's OEM parts will work with this pulled or blown.

89 chevy shuts off after 30 sec of being jump start

I suggest that you have a load test done on the battery as from your description there is a dead cell . Coming to a stop is when the engine is idling and the output of the alternator is below that required to supply current to the ignition system. With a dead battery and jump starting it is possible that the CPU program is corrupted so after you fit a good battery use a scanner to reset the CPU program

Can I jump start a 2005 Lincoln?

If the battery is from 2005, just replace it

You have to charge a dead battery,it is unsafe
to jump a dead battery

You own the car, so you can jump it or whatever
you want to do,I would replace the battery.

You can get a battery at the ford dealer for
the same or better price than a parts store & it
will fit.

They don't discount batteries to business owners,
so your all set going there, you pay the same as a
repair shop

I jump start my car battery and the radio stop workig

This is 'nornal': when you loose battery power or remove the car battery, the anti-theft funtion of your radio system will be enabled: you need to consult your specific car (radio) user manual to enter the radio security code which is normally a 4 digit code (originally provided when with new car manual or the radio if it is an aftermarket radio). The original car dealer may also have the radio security code.

Hope it heps.

Odyssey battery problem?

You need to remove the battery cables and clean the connections with a wire battery terminal cleaning tool. Then start the car and check the voltage at the battery with a multimeter. It should be between 13.5-16 volts. Any less and the alternator is defective. If this all checks out and you are 100% sure nothing is on drawing power then the battery more than likely has a dead cell. Remove the battery and take it to your parts store and have it tested. You will probably need a new battery.

Radio won't come on

when battery dies the radio deems this to be that someone is trying to steal it and it goes into anti-theft mode and disables itself u need to notify a dealer the codes are dealer issued because they are considered a part of the vehicles security system call the dealer first will explain how to retrieve the radio id number which is needed

Car want start factor security light flashing and car want start battery went dead and wont start since tried to jump start and everything won work

The factory security light will remain on - this is a standard feature indicating the car is dead.
First, unplug the hazard fuze in the engine bay (this will reset the ecu and remove the flashing)

Next, replace the battery with a new one (or one with proper charge) - keep in mind a small battery will not do anything for these cars, the engines require a lot to push them over (it isnt a honda)
*Make sure to clean the positive and negative battery cables from acid

Then just start it up :)
