Question about 1995 Chevrolet Blazer
My 95,s10 blazer wont pick up speed on take off. It feels like its dragging and its burning alot of gas. I already cleaned the EGR. Got a new distributor and a new position sensor.. I have not done the fuel filter yet. but I still dont think thats it. Its very frustrating
Take the fuel filter off for fun and see if ya can blow through it at least fast and not cost but a few min s...
If burning a lot of gas ,,timing ?...bad plugs ..wires
you can check wire out by just unplugging one and seeing if that changes idle at all until ya find one that does not ...wooot bad plug or wire...

The TPS has three wires that go to it in general. You have a power lead (constant 12 volt source) , a ground, and a variable lead of 1-5 volts. If you do not have a 12v constant source check for an open or short in the sensor harness. Now you had the TPS replaced, and no start. What is your fuel pressure? If you check your fuel pressure and it is on the low side of range it will not start, nor if it does start run well.
I have to run for parts but will be back shortly. I will get back on line and be available for chat if you wish so we can figure this out further.

have you tried checking the map sensor this can sometimes cause the engine to run oddly. also check for good spark check wires when its pitch black out check for wire arching. also check fuel pressure with a pressure guage.make sure cap and rotor are clean of deposits. keep searching and you will find the weak link.
