Question about 1994 Volkswagen Jetta

My car won't start - no previous problems with starter

My car won't start - no previous problems with starting. A garage got it started again and instead of fixing it right away i parked it for 7 months. I am planning on putting in a new starter motor in the next few days is there anything I should consider before doing this?

Also, the engine seemed to have less power (that day).

2003 Mazda 323f. Intermittent starting problems. It was non responsive so had it towed to the garage, they replaced the battery and it started working. It worked of a week then it was no responsive...

bad cables, hidden corrosion, loose connections to starter or ground cables. take it to different garage. Ensure car is fully in park whe trying to start. Take out of park then back to park.

Car won't start all the time... appears to be the starter but not sure???

may be you should make a diagnostic and you can do it in a garage or you can do it by yourself if you want to do it by yourself you need some tools and you can find some good ones here: diyobd2.fr

If i take long distance maybe stop at the garage ma honda ballade 150i model 99 won't start until jumpstart by another car what could be the coz for that.

This could be a alternator that is not charging good or battery or starter or a bad wire or battery connection.

this is easy to figure out , first drive the distance you do and stop at a shop. then try to start car, if car does not start then have them first test the battery to see if it is low, then have them jump it and test alternator, if the battery is good and the alternator is putting out the correct amps then next check starter. if the starter is getting the 12.8 volts and the small wire is also getting the voltage with key in start postion then starter is bad, but with car not starting a shop will find the problem.

My 2008 mazda 6 intermittenly won't crank, power window work and radio works, after it sits awhile it starts...is there any type of diagnostic to perform on this type of issue

first thing to do is get the car not to crank and check for power to the starter. if the starter has battery power and signal from the ignition switch then the problem is the starter. second thing is to check the plug at the trans range switch. the connector may be loose since you just had the trans repaired. ground may be an issue but not likely since the dash lights and other things work. GOOD LUCK.

1998 Mazda Protoge won't start

One of two things. Starter (or starter solenoid) or Neutral Safety Switch. Check the starter by disconnecting the EFI relay, then jump a wire from the positive term of battery to lug on starter solenoid does it crank okay? If not, then check the NSS, located under the airbox, can be adjusted using the offset bolt, just a tiny bit at a time, still no start? replace the NSS and adjust as necessary.
