Question about 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
The rear wiper on my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee doesn't work; it starts going on the window about 3 inches then it stops. If I manually put it in the middle of the window and press the rear wiper it goes back to where it normally rests and doesn't come back up again. If it moves back to it's place I'm thinking the motor is still working but not enough to push it all the way to the drivers side?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Sounds like a loose belt, Depending on what engine etc., it may need to be changed or if you have adjustment, tightened. When adjustment or replacement done, is a good time to check all pulleys. If your not up to it, an adjustment should not cost too much, few minutes work in most cases, if belt needs changing, price of belt & a little more labor involved.

These are notorious for this failure: the window regulators are inherently weak and must be replaced when broken.
You can buy new regulator assemblies from most auto parts suppliers.
They are only moderately difficult to replace.

Check for a 40 amp blown fuse for the BCM this controls those 2 unit. If this checks ok disconnect the BCM module and plug back in this will reset it the BCM is located under the Drivers side kick panel against the firewall. If it work after the BCM reset replace the BCM it will work only temporaraly.
