Your ancient ?? 6 disk changer ?? they went out with the ark and cds .Get yourself a cd player with a usb and SD card .A 1gb sd card holds a lot of music a 4gb usb thingy evan more so why mess around with a cd changer ?????? might as well put the old 8 track player back in.if its a 98 then no problem changing it .Its too old to have the new invention of knocking off the computer this is only to stop non dealer audio shops from fitting new sound systems.Or do what i do in cases like this and mount under dash just like in the 60s

Is a 046-1 and 046-2 46re transmission compatible in a 96 dodge ram extended cab truck, the 046-2 came out of a 94 dodge single cab

As far as doing a swap it's not compatible do to the casting of the transmission case. The '96 has the VSS and OSS holes in the tail housing, and the '94 has a yellow 2-pin connector. However the internals of the transmissions are the same.

Cd player error

so is this a stock RAD/cd?
stock JBL 6 disk player in dash>? or? what? name and model #
mp3 and wma format. but not DVD
or
JBL premium 4-disc in-dash CD changer
io the single disc player, 3 kinds sold. new.

and now comes the big question.
TELLS where you got the disk, or name it, or tell how it was made if home made. we dont know that.

is said CD a CDDA? or not. (always try CDDA first)
is CD a real music disc. from a real store, CDDA, is that.
or CDR, or DVDr, or CDRW, or other record-able media
is music MP3? files.
see, the old units dont play modern media.

try 2 real discs, not scratched.
do they play?
one other way, is to name the radio, brand, like JBL then get the
p/n off it. (hard) then look up the product data sheet on it,
bingo, what it can and can not do is there.

but this does it all, mostly
does what yours will not do.

Trying to install 2008 6.7l diesel in a 2006 dodge ram 3500 08 had auto trans 06 manual . i hook it all up and doesnt turn over , can i use wiring harness off 06 ,

you need to change the computer and the wiring harness make sure the batt. is disconnected while replacing the computer or you could end up having to re flash the computer. GOOD LUCK hope this helped out.

My Dodge RAM Car CD will play OK, but won't eject.

If this a CD with a paper label, sometimes they will peel up on the edge and not allow the CD to eject or in same cases the CD is slightly warped.
One thing you might try is this..... Get a flash light and try and look into the CD slot when the radio is trying to eject. There is a black felt type material that you can lift up slightly and if you can see the disc edge trying to come out it may look like it is very slightly too high and getting caught. You can take a business card and try and slide it above the CD edge from the side and this will get the edge of the CD to come down and eject. This has worked many times for me anyway.

2003 Ford Explorer CD Player (Single to 6 disc)

You will have to go to Best Buy, or whatever your nearest audio installation place is, and request wiring harnesses for the type of radio you are putting in, and also the type of vehicle, I believe you can put any aftermarket stereo in any vehicle, as long as it fits in the dashboard. Hope it helps.
