Sounds like you have a problem with the primary ground wire. You may need to tighten or clean it or even replace. The secondary ground is allowing the things work.

check your key remote if it is not programmed the alarm will go into the kill switch mode and will not allow you to start your engine Having the same trouble with one of my keys I haven't found a way to reprogram it without calling dealer and paying a chunk.

SOURCE: Turn key to start - nothing happens

I had same problem w/ my '88 Ram50. Turned out to be bad contacts on the battery cables. Temp fix and test was to put a little screw between the post and the end connector. Didn't have a problem then, so I replaced the cables.

SOURCE: Key won't turn and steering wheel is locked

just a thought but are your front wheels turned sharply ?are the wheels up against a curb ? this sometimes puts pressure on the sterring lock and wont allow the key too turn without grabing the wheel and forcing it ? the fact that the battery went dead should not affect the ability for the key too turn unless the igntion switch melted ? not sure on your model if the switchs is behind the lock cylinder or further down the column ? try turning the whell and see if it works good luck

Just because you charged the battery it doesn't mean it is any good. Modern sealed batteries fail; just as you described, fine one moment and then nothing, they go open internally.

I have a 1996 Isuzu Hombre. Sometimes it won't start and just turn over. It also dies sometimes while driving or just idleing at stop sign. When this happens there is a clicking and buzzing sound

Sounds to me like a bad battery, however the alternator could be bad as well if it's not charging the battery enough to allow for amperage to crank. Auto Parts Forum

Battery was completely dead ? after how long , over night , or just out of the blue ? These year GM vehicle's 03 to 06 have instrument cluster problems , draining the battery . Do you know what parasitic draw is ? Google it . They used lead free solder constructing the electronics , an after a while it causes silver migration .

Dead battery making a clicking sound

take the battery out of the veh and see if it will charge overnight on a charger, if not then the bat just ran its course I doubt it is 11 years old. Bats last anywhere from 3 to 5 years then they die if it does charge then your alternator needs to be replaced as it charges the battery when you drive, low voltage may cause the buzzing, tellin gyou there is a problem.
