Question about 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

Lost expensive item behind and under front passenger seat cushion.

My wife dropped her ring down behind the front passenger seat cushion of our 2004 Santa Fe LX. How can I gain access to that area, either by removing the back portion of the seat, or removing just the seat cushion?

I would just remove the whole seat and tip it upside down, don't forget to unplug the wires when you unbolt the seat runners

Take the whole seat out of the car. Take it to a shop that does car upholstery.

SOURCE: Fog Light Replacement Hyundai Santa Fe

The above statement is GREAT!!! The wheel-well piece folds down across the area you need to be in. There are 2 screws to undo this part. Push it back and there is a cap that unscrews which holds the wires and socket he is talking about. Unscrew the cap, unscrew the wire and housing. The bulb comes out. You pull the wire harness off and install the new bulb. It has a triangular push-in and it has to go just right so take note of how it comes out. Also, being a halogen light bulb, do not touch the bulb with your hands - the oils will make it explode.

2010 vito lwb with battery under the twin passenger seats. How do I access the battery to relace with new one please?

Open the front left door, (viewed as you drive). On the side of the seat base, between the step and the seat cushion, there should be a plastic panel with a twist-lock peg nearest the front. Swing up the ring grip on it and twist. It should be a quarter turn to unlock. To actually remove the battery you might have to remove the seat cushion and lift the battery up and out.

2004 saab rear seat removal

The three usual ways to remove lower portion of seat (depending on make of vehicle) are -
1. If possible move front seats all the way forward and get in back so you can use knee to push in hard (towards back of car) on lower section while pulling front edge up. Seat is hooked in tab on floor of car. You have to do this on both sides.
2. At spot where carpet goes under lip of lower cushion look for small tabs. You pull the tab and pull up on front of seat. Again on both sides.
3. At rear edge of lower cushion press down (usually near those tabs for car seat) and look for bolt that holds back of seat in. You have to crush cushion down and use a light but you will see a bolt on each side that must be taken out. Bolt is going through a metal hoop that is part of seat frame.

Where are the fuses located for the air conditioner in a 2001 pontiac bonneville

The interior fuse box in a Pontiac Bonneville is underneath the backseat on the driver's side.

To remove the rear seat cushion:
1. Pull up on the front of the cushion to release the
front hooks.
2. Pull the cushion up and out toward the front of
the vehicle.

To reinstall the rear seat cushion:

1. Buckle the center passenger position safety belt, then
route the safety belts through the proper slots in the
seat cushion. Don't let the safety belts get twisted.
2. Slide the rear of the cushion up and under the
seatback so the rear - locating guides hook into the
wire loops on the back frame.
3. With the seat cushion lowered, push rearward and
then press down on the seat cushion until the spring
locks on both ends engage.
4. Check to make sure the safety belts are properly
routed and that no portion of any safety belt is
trapped under the seat. Also make sure the seat
cushion is secured.

The battery and main fuse blocks are located
under the rear seat cushion. The battery's ground
terminal and some relay wires are exposed.
To help avoid damage to the battery and wires,
be careful when removing or reinstalling the seat
cushion. Do not remove covers from covered
parts. Do not store anything under the seat, as
objects could touch exposed wires and cause
a short.

Location of airbag sensors

Are you talking about impact sensors? Two are located on front right and left frame support. They are accessible from the bottom but its easier to take the bumper off to gain easy access to them. Another two are locates on bottom of B pillar around the area where the driver and passenger seatbelt tensioners are. You have to remove the door seals and plastic cover of the B pillar to gain access to them. Last two are mounted below C pillar behind the seat back cover. You have to remove cushion and back piece to gain access to them. Some people say there are versions without the sensors under C pillar tho, but I worked on one that had those sensors.

How do I change the fuel filter on a 2006/7 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 CRDT CDX safely?

There is no external type fuel filter on the Santa Fe. It is built into the fuel pump module in the tank, you rould have to remove your rear seat bottom cushions and get to the access plate and remove the pump module. Can be very time consuming if you have never done this before.

How to get to battery in 2004 cadillac

The battery is located in the underneath the center of the rear seat bottom cushion.
1) Pull on the front of the rear seat bottom cushion directly behind each front seat. The seat will pop out of the indentations which it seats into it.
2) Directory in the middle of the seat, you shall see the battery. NOTE: This is a special sealed battery with special venting tubes. Do not replace with just any battery as it can cause toxic fumes to be released inside the car.
NOTE: If you are just charging the battery or you need to test the battery holding a charge, there is a positive battery post directory infront of the passenger side when the hood is open. To the right of that, there is an "L" bracket for grounding. You use these two to check, charge, or jumpstart the battery.
