Question about 2002 Nissan Xterra
Your not getting a spark to the engine. check your distributor cap and see if the contacts underneath are dirty also check the rotor. I had a 98 Nissan did the same thing and when I checked it I didn't notice at first but the screw holding the rotor in place so it would turn and send a spark to the spark plugs had come off so the engine cranked but wouldn't start. such a simple fix I just had to put the screw back in
