Where can I fine the engine number of the KIA Sportage 1997?

Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) stamped on metal plate located on left side of dash panel. The VIN is also stamped into passenger side of engine compartment bulkhead or driver's side of dash panel, visible from outside of windshield.

Engine number is stamped on engine block just below the cylinder head at front near timing belt, just below the manifold, sorry I forgot which side.

How do i find out what my motor came off

1. Locate and record the engine Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). If the engine has been replaced this number will be different than the VIN on the vehicle body.

Vin number location

Check the engine block area. Will not be a vin number but the block number should be able to be cross referenced by manufacture to vin number.

Engine number identification

usually engine vin numbers are either on the driver's side of the block. but if its the original engine then the vin numbers you would find on the block are going to be the same as the ones in the windshield, door jam/panel, etc.

I recently purchased a e36 1997 bmw 323i.i am trying to find out where exactly is the chassis and engine number under the hood of the vehicle.

The VIN number is the same as the chassis number of your car. The VIN number is found on the left driver's door jam B pillar. It is also found under the hood (bonnet) on the right side usually on the firewall. The engine number is found on the right side of the engine , forward, close to the timing chain (belt), down at the junction of the engine block and oil pan, is this information helped you? please vote me and give me a comment.

Where do i locate the chassis number on 1997 volkswagen jetta gt 2.0 cause i need to buy timing belt and componet kits engine code B

Hi. On 4-cylinder engines, the engine identification number is stamped into the block near the crankcase breather or upper coolant hose fitting. On VR6 engines, the identification number is located directly above the crankshaft pulley, at the top of the cylinder block. The first two (or in the case of later engines, three) digits are the engine code and will be the most useful description of the engine when locating specifications or ordering parts.

Now, if you are trying to locate the vehical VIN, this is on the left side of the dashboard, visible through the windshield. On Golf and Jettas, a second plate is located on the top of the cowling behind the engine.

I need to order a fuel pressure regulator but cant find the code

Your engine is called a B234 (I) (for injected)
I believe you are wondering about the Vxxxxx number such as shown on the saabsite.
This refers to the vehicle VIN #. 1997 starts with V and you need to just look at the numbers after the V to determine if you have an "early or late" 97.

Engine #

Do u mean your vin number or engine number? vin number apears in several places it can be located on dash drivers side in front by windshield or on sticker on door jam or in engine bay located on fire wall. For engine number it is located on block right next to where the block meets the transmission its stamped on msall flat surface there also sometimes under hood on sticker.
