Have a pressure test done on the fuel manifold to check for regulator , filter and fuel pump problems. A damper by name only takes the pressure waves out of the system but the regulator if not working correctly will not allow pressure to build up in the manifold.

SOURCE: lexus es300 won't start

I had a similar experience just the other day, i stopped to get gas and turned the car off and when attempting to turn the car back on nothing would happen. Well, let me rephrase the lights inside and out would work as well as the ac and the radio. My initial train of thought was maybe it was the battery so i went and purchased a new battery which was around $100, I installed the new battery and the car still wouldn't start. Does your car make a clicking noise when you turn the inginition key or is it just silent? If it is silent, you might want to check to see if your starter has burned out. Luckly a friend of a friend does his own mechanical work and was able to remove and replace the starter for me. After the starter was replaced the car started right up and ran perfectly. Not sure where u live but in my area a starter ranges in price from $100-200, but they also charge a core fee ranging from $45+, which can be reimbursed if you bring in your old starter to the store. I would suggest getting a starter with a lifetime warranty as well, but thats just a suggestion.

Hope this helps,

brelic

I just replaced the head gaskets on my 2002 Lexus es300. And it won't start back up. It's getting fuel and it has spark

Well, an engine needs 3 things to run....fuel, spark, and compression. But they also have to happen in the right time in the right amounts. If you are sure that you have fuel getting into the engine, and you are sure that you have spark at the plugs. I think I would be checking the timing and the compression. And remember, just because you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail doesn't nesissarily mean that the injectors are opening.

What is the problem if my 94 lexus es300 will crank and run but if you press the gas it shuts off

you may have a fuel problem check the fuel pressure and volume it may be enough to start the engine and idle but not supply enough fuel to drive. also it could be a fuel filter plugged and needs changing. another possibility is a bad TPS sensor.

Have a fuel manifold pressure test done to check fuel pump--pressure regulator and filter Run fault codes as it may have nothing to do with the fuel pump . It may be just a CPU reset with a code reader following the battery replacement as this causes program corruption which affects the immobiliser .

I have gas leaking at the end of the fuel rail on a 2002 Lexus ES300. This looks like a plastic cap. Where can I get a new cap?

it is not the cap that you need it will be the fuel pressure regulator and also called the fuel damper for the fuel pressure.....behind the plastic cap is a screw that is set at the factory to regulate the pressure for the fuel at the injecter rail and this screw will back out and will start leaking......you will need to go to the dealer and show them which one you need cause there are 2 of them and they can show you a picture or the fuel system and you can pick out the one that is leaking.....i hope that this info will help you and if you need any other info let me know.........let me and fixya know if i was able to help you in any way and a thumbs up and a comment on how i did would be appreciated.....good luck and have a blessed day........thanks.....

I have a Lexus es300 2001. I have a problem

In order to fix the problem i would recommend doing a fuel pressure test to see if your fuel pump is supplying enough (if any) fuel to the cylinders. If you are getting the correct fuel pressure, i would recommend check to see if your getting a spark to all the plugs

ok, i tell you 3 possible causes.
check maf sensor connection , check fuel pressure regulator (max press fuel in rail 40 psi) , check engine compression (min 95 psi ) if less this cause spark plugs wet and not start
