Question about 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD
Thats probably a bad battery, if it runs the whole day. You can take the battery to most auto parts stores and they will tell you if your battery is good, usually for no charge. If thats not your problem then your either looking at an alternator issue or you have a drain on your electrical system.

What normally you have to look for is that your belt is running properly because your car might be running a lot more off the battery and not so much of f the alternator, but normally if the alternators bad it will drain the battery even if the cars not running.. Yes your first thing you would want to do is check the wiring and al that just because thats cheap and easy but most likley you wanna get the altenator tested...you can get that done at advance auto.. please rate me if you get a chance and if you have any other questions just let me know ill check up on your problem..

check the tranny fluid level, then make sure the parking brake shoes are not rusted in place, if its a auto trans the coverter has drained all the fluid,

common problems when battery died over night usually cause by someone left a light on, it can be the door is not being close completely to over head/map light and not knowing it. have the alternator check, any auto parts store can test it for you. to see if it working properly. next is to check the battery cells to see if its good and maintain its charge, auto parts store can also test it for you. a bad cell will also cause the battery not to hold or retained its charges. get a jump from a friend and see if your car will start. if its does than it will be your battery.

This sounds just like a simple weak battery. It obviously charges itself enough to stay running but the battery can't hold a reserve to sustain the start in the morning.Any other questions please get back to me and rate me.Thx..Happy Holidays.
