Question about Chevrolet Uplander LT
We had a cold snap here and I have not started the van for about 3 weeks. I went to start it today and got the ticka ticka of what seemed to be low battery. I tried jumping it with my other vehicle but now nothing happens. I do hear the fuel pump but when I turn the ignition, nothing.

check your key remote if it is not programmed the alarm will go into the kill switch mode and will not allow you to start your engine Having the same trouble with one of my keys I haven't found a way to reprogram it without calling dealer and paying a chunk.

If your is exhibiting the same signs as a dead battery it really sounds like your alternator is bad. If you are handy, you can remove the alternator and take it to an autoparts store like autozone and they will test it for you. This is not a hard job to do, usually 2 electrical connections, 3-5 mounting bolts and you have to pop the belt off. Just reverse it to install a new one. Good luck! - Nick
