Nissan Note - engine "lock out"

Door not shut = flat battery. Recharged it. Every thing works except the engine. Nissan agent says "bring car in Only we can reprogram it" Is there a better way.

This one has the experts baffled. 5 have tried. last one is trying the UK.  All say this is not possible as the system is used by many Nissan models over the last 5 years.
At least it is on Warranty and I have a Hire car, so not sweating

Unfortunately there are certain things that only the dealer can do with the tools that they have spent thousands of dollars on. They have them to help people in this particular situation. I use dealer information on a regular basis because sometimes problems can be very hard to repair when it comes to sensitive electronics. This is an option that you have to avoid more expensive outcomes. Hope this helps, good luck!

How to unlock a 2010 Nissan Nivara when the battery is flat and the key does not work?

The key has to work to unlock the car manually by inserting it in the door lock.

It should unlock by working the key anti clockwise as far as it will go either once or twice in succession. If it does not work in that direction then try the reverse direction.

If the lock will not release, then hold the door handle in the opening position (as if you were trying to open the door normally) whilst you simultaneously operate the door lock with the key manually. Try it once and then twice in one direction and if that does not work then try the other direction.

I disconnected the battery on my 2003 honda accord ex and after fixing the battery the alarm system doesn't work.

stock alarm or after market.?
check all fuses
if ok, read the operators guide on this .
or the FSM.
opr guide lost in glove box.?
http://justgivemethedamnmanual.com/honda/honda-accord-owners-manuals/

quotes:
The security system will not set if the hood, trunk, or any door is not
fully closed. If the system will not set, check the Door Monitor on the
instrument panel (see page 60), to see if the doors and trunk are fully
closed. Since it is not part of the monitor display, manually check the
hood.

we are not talking the immobilizer system option,.

odd, most really honda's, the horn sticks on. that year. 03
at battery swap or dead. and recharged.

there are 3 related systems.
IMMO (cant start engine) immoblizer
keyfob door mag locks.
and security (alarms)
the all work together,
do say what works and does not.?

Keyless entry kit doesn't work

there is a positive and negative wire on your door lock motor. you need to put the purple wire to the negitve wire going to your door lock. try hooking up to just one of the door locks neg wires. if it only unlocks that door then you will need to run wires to the other doors aswell. the keyless system sends a neg pulse to unlock and lock the posiytive is constant. so unhook purple and attach to lock ground not car ground

I have a 92 Nissan Maxima. When I unlock the door, the alarm goes off. This has happened before. We unplugged the battery, two fuses inside the car and 2 fuses under the hood. That reset the alarm I...

there is a switch mounted to the back of the door lock. its inside of the door. you will have to take the door panel off to see the back of the lock cylinder. the switch has wires coming out of it. I think that is your issue. the switch is junk or it slipped of the back of the lock cylinder. that switch monitors which way you turn the key and sends that info to your smart entrance control unit, which works your alarm system. remove door pane and take a look at that switch on the back of the lock cylinder.

My 1998 nissan pathfinder auto door lock clicks when im driving and locks automatically when I unlock the truck

That sounds like a possible bad door lock switch to me. I have also seen defective door lock control modules cause the same symptoms. These things can also cause your battery to drain because it is probably also doing this when the vehicle is shut off. The power lock solenoids in the doors will also bedestroyed if it is allowed to continue.

If you cannot get it diagnosed and repaired right away, I recommend unplugging your door lock control module to prevent furter damage to the vehicle. Yours is located under the dash next to the fuse block. (See picture)

2007 YUKON WILL NOT START, STEERING WHEEL AND GEARS LOCKED, NO LIGHTS WHEN DOOR IS OPENED

Has this vehicle been left to sit for awhile without being started? If so, the battery may be dead and need to be recharged or replaced. But if your engine cranks that is not the case. It might also be that your security system has been activated and locked everything up (but I thing the door lights would work then). If the battery is charged and okay, then suggest you take the battery cables off the battery for a couple of hours and see if the secutiy system will deactivate. Or check your owners manual for resetting the secuity system.
