Sensor is located under or on the coolant refill bottle.

It will run fine for a while after reaching operating temp but then shuts off and will not restart till cool again . 3.1 V6 also low collant light is on always but is not low.

need to check for ignition fire and fuel pressure the next time it shuts off. the fuel pump or the ignition module is getting hot and kicking off. as for the low coolant light, you have a bad coolant level sensor. the sensor can either be in the coolant reservoir or on the right side of the radiator about 6 inches from the top in the plastic part of the radiator.

Low coolant light goes on even when collant is at full capacity

You need to clean or replace the coolant level sensor. It is on the passengers side tank of the radiator. What happens is that it gets dirty and will not read the coolant and this makes the light go on.You can try cleaning it and if that does not work then you will have to replace it.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Low collant light is on and has no leak and is full

This problem is common, if the coolant level is OK, check the "coolant sensor" and clean the plug.

I have changed the sensor the stat and the fan and my 95 grand am quad 4 still says collant low but no water in oil and i am not sure what next step is anyone know what should be next

these sensors are the subject of many technical service bulletins (TSB's), they give false coolant low readings, there is a new sensor avail that they say works better and is less prone to this false trouble signal of low coolant, contact your local dealer.
