Question about 2001 Chevrolet Blazer
Your a/c compressor has locked. your compressor ,reciever drier and orfire tube needs to be changed. a/c system needs to be flushed before new components are installed.

This is most likely caused by a locked up compressor. The main serpentine belt on the engine runs around that compressor and if it is locked up because of internal damage, then when the clutch engages on the A/C compressor, it basically stalls the engine.
You need to go have it serviced by a professional A/C shop. It won't be cheap though...
