Manual window crank spining but window will not go up

The manual window crank is spining freely but the window will not go up. I tried to take the door apart to look. I can not get the crank off, so I cannot take the inside panel off to see the issue.

It is a 1997 Hyundai Elantra

Can you tell me how to remove the crank?

There is a retaining pin or spring on the back side of the handle. Some handles have a ring molding that can be pushed back to revel the securing pin. You need to push the pin or spring to release the handle.

How do you remove the drivers side door panel on a 89 Camry. My manual crank window is out of the track and the door lock is broken. Also doyou just pull the window crankoff oris there ahidden screw.

The manual crank has a u shaped clip that holds it in place to the crank pulley. U may need a special tool to open the clip and slide it off so you can remove the handle.

2004 impala back window stuck down

You checked fuses and relays for electrical cranked window?
Remove: internal door handle, remove window crank if manual crank, door panel, remove film/paper seal.
If is mechanical crank: check for worn out parts on gearing and racks (reinstall crank and wind window up and down). Replace worn parts.

If electrical window crank: check for power at solenoid. Try switch again and watch to see if solenoid engages and tries to crank.
Check to see if switch is broken. Try door switch and drivers door switch.
Pickup another solenoid and replace old one.

Where can i find manual windows that are compatible to a 1990 toyota 4runner? And what does swapping out automatics for manual entail?

i would just swap the doors, lots easier than taking the door apart, removing your window motor, regulator etc, and then having to install the window crank, replace door panels etc. Me? id just swap the whole door, 6 bolts out, 6 bolts in and your done! ( per door)

There seems to be parts missing on driver side window. It falls off track when ever I try to roll it down. Front goes down and back lags to follow. Have guide clips. Nothing I've tried seems to make...

Possibly, could just be out of the front track. Could also have broken or loose parts. Almost better to have a pro do it if your not familiar< you can really mess up the door panel if not knowledgeable with removal, and that can cost you more than a pro repair. If you elect to do it yourself, get back to me with questions, and I'll try to walk you through. Good luck.

Driver window off track, went to roll window down and window fell inside of door.Window crank turns freely.

remove door panel, If you are mechanically inclined you can figure out how to connect the regulator (operating assembly) back to the window by removing mounting bolts of assembly and pivoting. Something came loose or broke, window guides are worn (plastic parts), or assembly is way out of alignment for window to fall off track....

How do i remove the interrior door panel on a pontiac sunfire

if its a standard clip type window crank what you do is get a shop towel or cut up an old t shirt. take the rag and slide it between the door panel and crank. then rotate the rag around the crank it will grab the clip easily and disenguage it. watch it though the clip may fly out and you will loose it. then just pull off crank.to reinstall the crank put the clip on the crank and just push it back on the shaft
