Blower Motor trouble

So, my 1996 Chevy Blazer's blower motor and wheel has been replaced, and so has the resistor; however when I go to turn it on, no air comes out, it just makes a hissing noise. Fuses are all fine. I have no idea what else could be wrong with it. Please help!

Can someone send me a pic of what the fan switch looks like?

It was a wiring problem; not a parts problem.

Blower does not shut off after key is turned off

Start by replacing the blower motor speed control resistor. The blower motor resistor is located near the blower motor under the dash on the passenger side and its head goes into the air ducting for cooling with the connector on the outside..

Blower not working on 1997 chevy blazer

Check the blower motor relay, usually located under the hood in a box, also check the fuse in the fuse panel for the blower motor. If both of those are good then you have a bad blower motor.

My 1996 blazer a/c system works fine....... But the blower every now and then 10 - 15 mins. Stops blowing for about 1 - 2 seconds and comes right back on. Resistor?

Very unlikely, most likely the motor is overheating and locking up. The resistor will either work or will not work. All it does is vary the voltage to the blower not shut it off.

Chevy Corsica blower motor does not work

Hello...

Your problem can also be a bad blower resistor. But, the replacement of either the resistor or the motor is not hard at all.

Good Luck...
