Question about 2005 Ford Taurus SE
ONE OTHER THOUGHT, POSSIBLE THAT THIS IS THE ORIGINAL BATTERY IN THIS THING ALTHOUGH HE SAYS IT HAS BEEN WORKING GOOD. RECENTLY TURNED VERY COLD HERE THO.. WOULD A WEAK BATTERY CAUSE A RUN PROBLEM?
If it dropped below freezing, you may have water freezing solid somewhere in the fuel system; try a bottle or two of "Dry Gas" and while the vehicle is running, it should mix with the water and get it out of the system!

It's got all the symptoms of a leak in the fuel line. You may want to start backward at the tank and work your way all the way to the carb to find it but it would be surprising if it was something else. All the best.
