How much fuel pressure should have jaguar 2000 s-type 4.0l cranks very Good but don't start

This is usually a fuel injection issue with these vehicles. (i.e. ''The pressure won't be the problem''). They have problems with fuel related vacuum parts and the injectors themselves. The higher the mileage, the higher the likelihood of _both_ issues. // Note: Since the coil(s) are also known to go bad, you might check that first. The reason I mention it is because before vacuum and injectors ''give out'' they ''act up'' first. You should have had rough running engine problems before total failure. For that reason, check coil(s). Some Jaguar engines have two ''coil packs''. They _do_ drop dead. If you have two, one bad one is enough to stop it from starting. (i.e. ''check for spark on _all_ cylinders'').

I have a 2000 jaguar s type and my car runs good but every once in a while at a stop light it just shuts off. The check engine light comes on sometimes? Any idea as to why the car just dies.

Likely, it is fuel contamination caused by use of ethanol blend fuels over time. I'd recommend replacing all fuel in the system with new (preferably non-ethanol fuel if available). If you must use ethanol blend fuel, add WATER REMOVER additive monthly.
Also, replace the fuel filter and check the operation of the fuel pressure regulator.

I have a 2000 jaguar stype and it won't start I put some gas in the car and tried starter fluid it turned on but cut off 3 times there is pressure in the fuel pump but it still won't start what can it

I would start with all the fuses. Yes this seems like a simple and pointless thing to do but I have a 2002 S type Jaguar and my issue was a fuse in the trunk panel I did not even know existed. You should have 3 fuse boxes. Check all the fuel related fuses first then you can go from there. Also if you have replaced a fuel pump recently pull it out and set it back in the fuel tank. It may not be put in correctly therefore blocking the sock on the pump and not being able to pull fuel. your fuel pump will only fit perfectly only one way. These are simple fixes but most the time that is what it is

My 2000 jaguar s type is fluttering and not and it accerates allow and roughly, and i smelll gas

Get the car scanned and see what fault codes appear. Coil packs often fail causing power loss. It doesn't explain the fuel smell but to be safe check there are no leaks in the fuel system/pipes. The system is under a lot of pressure so a leak should be obvious, when was the fuel filter last changed?

Fix code PO193 on jaguar stype 2000

this code shows fuel rail pressure high. Could be many reasons for this from blocked or failing injectors to pressure regulation.Check all connections to electrical plugs and sockets to ensure no faulty signals. Only option after this is a good repair shop to check actions of injectors / regulators / pump.

Here's one for the books. 2000 Jaguar S Type 4.0 Sport - no fuel pressure past fuel pump. Checked inertia switch, fuel pump fuses and relay - all good. Installed new fuel filter, fuel pump was shot -...

check if the input side of the fuel pump has a restriction . a perished rubber hose can be a problem , the pump should be able reach a pressure 35 psi + and a flow of a quart every 30 seconds at this pressure.

2002 jaguar s type fuel filter location please

1) jack-up left front of car (drivers-side)and remove wheel.
2) Remove plastic inner fender .
The maintenance schedule is every 12-thousand miles.

Caution prior to removing fuel filter-
Pull the fuel pump relay or fuse while engine is running, this will disable the electric fuel pump and release fuel pressure in line.
