One of the vent controls has stopped working, or you have debris in the heater vents. to clean out you need to block up all the front vents even the dash vents under neath and take the back cover off and then put the blower on full it should blow it out then. if not you will need to manually remove it by taking the heater out.

Worth engine cold check coolant level

Carefully with the engine warm place your hand on the two heater core hoses at the back passenger side of the engine compartment. If one is cold compared to the other then you need a heater core. If both are about the same temp then you probably have a stuck blend door.

Has very little heat has new thermostat!

Was the heater working ok before you fitted the new thermostat?
If no, you probably have a blocked heater matrix. That means you have to either try flushing the coolant system to remove the blockage .. or.. replace the heater matrix, which isn't an easy task.

If the heater was working ok before you changed the thermostat then it's likely you still have air in the system.

Set the heater controls to hot, remove the radiator cap/coolant bottle cap and start the engine. Let it tickover and warm up. Hopefully any trapped air will be purged from the cooling system.

Are you sure that the thermostat is okay? Thermostats have a small valve in that allows air to pass through. If your thermostat is mounted like a clock ..i.e .. the face looking out - the air valve must be at the top.

No heat. A/C works. Engine temp normal. Blower works. Controls switch air flow properly. Inlet/Outlet heater hoses only warm.

You have a valve that allows the hot water run to the heater core. Trace the heater lines from the blower to the radiator. You will find one of the hoses connect to a valve that has a couple of wires coming out of it. They do go bad. Its an easy fix, and you can get the part at any auto parts store.

I have a Nissan Quest 2001. The front air conditioning works the mid section does not, it just blows hot air.

I know this is late and hopefully you have this fixed, but the problem is probably the air diverter door control. There are 2 doors, 1 front, 1 rear (middle) and they are adjusted by a single control to balance the temp front and back based on the controls. If this goes out, you either are stuck with hot air up front/cold air in back or vice versa. You can try manually moving the doors to see if they are stuck (in the duct work) or test the actual control circuit. Check your tech manual for how to do it.
