Question about 2007 GMC Yukon

2 Answers

Bad vibration at 30 miles an hour and up. It only happens when i am on the throttle, which would rule out tires. No clunking, whining, grinding, just the vibration.

Check the driveshafts and U joints; something is either bent or in need of repair. It's also possible you could have broken motor or transmission mounts throwing the driveshaft out of line.

Sounds like maybe a bad u-joint on the rear drive shaft. Be sure its in 2wd.

Why am I experiencing a vibration or grinding while turning?

get the car serviced and diagnosed? noise finding takes hands on work. not guessing.
do you need list. and are you a hands on person? many here are not just looking for wild guessing. which are you>?

i cant even guess. as you never said what corner or car makes noise. kinda key to Discovery. and cause.
my guess its the front. end.
bad brakes.
bad wheel bearings
bad U-joints. up front.
disc caliper pistons stuck or the guide pins SEIZED.
Disc rotor damage of any kind. (inspections find most of these)

tires with too low pressure can cause odd effects. truly odd.
one tire i had , had side wall deformations, (cheap tires , factory 2nds by previous owners) and when low, they make steering wheel ripple effects///, the most odd thing ive ever seen, not 1960 when this happened all the time. (nylon cord tires or worse).
Inspect tires for damage or low air pressure, (every 30 days)

but grinding is bad news, any machine that grinds, is the sign of doom. (metal against metal dry)

the rule on noise, is LOCATION , it's exact location.

REAR passenger tire makes loud clunking and grinding noises when turning more than 30-45 degrees above 5-15 mph

I don`t think you have cv axles in the rear of that.My guess would be wheel bearings could be grinding. Donut spares are strickly to be used for short periods of time and not to be driven at any higher rates of speed. Some damage may have occurred during the actual incident when you had the flat initially.Damage to the rear axle itself,

Maybe a stretched transfer case chain.
I wouldn't rule out some trans issues
Got the correct fluid in transfer or proper level
The clunk sounds like ,U-joints
Check all the mounts on everything, trans, transfer.etc
