What should the fuel pressure be on a 2000 gmc jimmy 4+4 4 door v 6

This system should be at 60-66 psi NO MORE NO LESS.If the pressure is low it can be the fuel pump but can also be the fuel pressure regulator valve so make sure you check the FPR

Want to install a turbocharger kit onto Jag s-type 2000 3.0L V6, what type of modifications must be done if any to install the turbocharger?

The modifications would be intensive to say the least, I am personally building a taurus SHO Motor for a turbo and I am doing pistons, con. Rods, crank, cams, larger valves, and the compression ratio is going from 10.5:1 all the way down to 8.5:1 all internals forged of course and I am looking into getting custom sleeves made for the block to ensure power and longevity I would at least do pistons, conn. rods, a lower compression ratio (at least 8.5:1), and also head stud conversion because the weakest link on any kind of ford duratec, Vulcan, or related engines is the head bolts. As a stock engine you might be able to push 5 psi without launching your heads to china and 5 psi is good for like 40 HP defiantly not worth the money you would pay for the turbo kit. But in my opinion the hardest part is actually getting manifolds made to turbo it unless you just buy the manifold from shosource but then it's soooo not worth the time and money to push 5 psi I would do the same things that I described above that I am doing to my engine so that you can easily push 10 psi good for an easy 100+ HP and foot pounds of torque.

2000 excursion misfire on cyl 4. traded plug,

Remove the plug and check the compression for that cylinder it should be between 120 psi and 150 psi, if it is low it is a mechanical issue (bad valve or worn piston rings). If commpression is low remove the valve cover and turn over the motor confirming that both valves for that cylinder are opening to there correct travel or height if not it is a faulty hydraulic lifter or worn cam. Also check the valve lash clearance the clearance is usually .012" for the exhaust valve and .008" for the intake valve to check the lash turn the motor over until the valve shuts completely for each valve, then use a feeler gauge go no go procedure. Has the wire been replaced for the plug? If this motor has coil on plug type disregard plug wire question.

Fuel pump

i believe it's around 80, but anything higher than 60 should run it somewhat, just lacking power, and dogging out while accelerating, like a running out of gas symptom.
