Suspect a faulty rotor or drum. Make sure brake calipers are not sticking.

My pontiac g5 will make a noise when i accelerate

I had a similar issue with my Windstar van. Both the owner and chief mechanic drove it and reported hearing a "tic" in the engine. Solution? With fuel down to 1/4 tank, added Lucas upper cylinder lube and filled up with premium. Big improvement but I repeated the treatment with regular fuel just to be sure.

big bang theory.

Ok, I've never heard of this happening to someone. If you turn left or right and apply brakes there is no noise. That means that the front end is probably ok. If it doesn't seem loose that way.

If you have a Sears nearby take it to them so they can listen to this banging.

They probably won't charge to look at it.

1999 Ford Explorer 4WD v6 when I come to a complete stop and have my foot on the break pedal I hear this thump noise coming from the rear end and sometimes it thumps when i let off the break pedal and go...

Look for a broken trailing arm, or loose bolts or degraded rubber grommets on it. This is a piece of the suspension that goes from the frame to the strut. It holds the strut in place vertically. When broken or loose this truck can bang around back and forth. It could also a a worn out universal joint which can be hard to detect because even the slightest amount of play can cause noises. Perhaps even a loose brake caliper. But the gears in the differential may be becoming worn and sloppy as well. You can check up a rear tire and try moving it back and forth to see how much played there is in the differential and universal joint.

2009 Hyundai Sonata-clicking noise at brake pedal, brakes applied

This is not a rich mans car so its normal. Your hearing the solinod that lets you take the car out of park after the brake is depressed so the car can't be put in gear unless the brake is on. If the noise bothers you the soliniod can be found and wrapped in insulation like a rich mans car them you can ride on feeling like a rich man too. ( the Beatles sang that a long time ago) and its still true today.

1999 Honda civic making a kind of roaring sound

Just a simple suggestion since I can't hear the noise or actually inspect it. I would recommend having the break pads checked out. If the pad is gone and you are now grinding metal on the disc break you will be hearing a horrific noise. You would hear it more when you are slowing down because you are applying pressure to the breaks which in turn puts pressure on the break pads "if there is any pad left" and would be diggin in even deeper into your rotors. Let me know if this is not the issue and I will try to help more. This would be a very good place to start though.

2005 honda accord noise when breaking (transaxle)

You say you hear the noise when you "slow down". Does this mean you hear the thumping noise when you let off the gas and let the car coast to a stop or only when you are applying the brakes to decellerate?
If you only hear the noise while applying the brakes then I would assume it has something to do with your brakes. The first thing that comes to mind would be rotors that aren't true or warped which could make a thumping sound.

Do you feel any vibrations in your foot when it is applying pressure to the brake pedal? If you do feel a sort of pulsating feeling then it could very well be your brakes making the noise.

I hope I was of some assistance,
