Question about 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor
I have a 2004 mitsubishi endeavor and this only happens during the first start up of the day. I will shift into reverse and back out of my driveway fine, but then when I shift from reverse to drive it shows on the dash board that it is stuck between neutral and drive and the vehicle will not go forward like it is stuck in neutral. but then when i shift the transmission back into park and back to drive it is normally fine. what could i try to correct this issue?
Probly hav a linkage problem--try ajustin it at trans under the car--u need a repair manual=partstore haz them--also displays maintenance for all area of vehicle--put jackstands under car cause a jack alone will fall

Use Mitsubishi transmission fluid. These transmission are extremely picky. If you have not had a full transmission flush using Mitsu ATF fluid I would suggest you start there.

Your check engine light is on because the computer picked up a problem with the vehicle. Take it to Autozone and they will scan it for free. They will let you know what is wrong and what parts you may need.
