Question about 2000 Ford Explorer
Had the whole door changed out but now the new door that was installed wont shut at all. i noticed that one of lifts were upside down but wastold that it would matter? and also the numbers on the hinges on the old door are different then the new door hinges.. didnt know if that would matter.. they also said it wouldnt but i would really like yalls opionion
If your new hatch door is not identical or the correct application then it is the wrong door. Of course every differences matters, your door is not closing like it should. Whoever installed your door (and got paid) just want you keep it because they got paid. If the upside down lift is preventing the door from closing then they need to fix it, if the door is the wrong application for your car then have them get you the right door.

1) Unlock all doors from driver's door while it is open. The driver's door is the only door to remain open during this process! 2) Turn the key from OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds, with the eighth turn ending in RUN. All the doors will lock and unlock if program is successful. 3) Turn key OFF and remove key from ignition. Within 20 seconds, press any button on the remote. (Press sliding door or rear hatch and it will open!) 4) If door locks do not respond, wait several seconds and press button again. If doors still fail to respond, try repeating steps (1-3).
