You will need a high end scat tool to see what the temp sensor is reading and whether or not the logic module in the instrument cluster is getting the correct signal.

Engine hot, oil dip stick too hot to touch gages all fine no problems with it just got raditor flushed thought that was the problem

Your dipstick is supposed to be hot. The oil runs over the hot mechanisms and back into the pan and cooler oil cycles through again. The warmer your engine the better it will run. ( don't want it to overheat though) my car runs about halfway between the middle and three fourths mark on the thermostat. And it runs great. Hope this helps!:)

My 1993 bmw 318I water temp gage rises to the middle(like it should) stays there for a while than shoots up to hot. The thermostat has been changed the water pump has been change the gage sensor has been...

if the bottom hose never heats up then theres a flow problem. have u run the car up without the thermostat in ?? just cuz its new doesnt mean it works !! also radiators themselves can block up, back flush ur cooling system and check the radiator holds the water it should, if the bottom half of the rad is blocked, this will cause ur problem, the radiator sounds like its ur problem, make sure u blead the system aswell. the 318 4cylinder has a bleaad valve on the top corner of the rad if i remember correctly.

I have a 1993 Acura Ledgend. For some reason my heater does not continue to blow hot air, it does for a few minutes and then begain to blow cold air. It does this often now. It works and then it blows cold...

first check to see that you coolant level is full, check it after the engine has cooled down,so there is no pressure in the system. otherwise you possibly have a head gasket in the early stage of failure

U have a problem with the air temp control blend door actuator motor, very common failure. In order to replace this part the dash must come out.

Water temp gauge stay on 160 degree

should be fine as long as the gage goes up and down and you get heat it should be fine make sure you consider the outside temp. as the engine starts it will heat up get really hot the the thermostate opens and the gage will fall and should but not always stay low it could just be the ip gage.
