2002 vw jetta idt fuel shut off valve

I believe my fuel shut off valve was activated due to very low oil indicated. Do you know how to reset it? I realize this may not be the problem but seems it is leading to this. All was running fine and suddenly it won't start. As the engine is turning over the low oil light starts to beep/flash. Checked the oil, 3 quarts low. Some research I did showed this could cause the fuel shut off to activate.

Hi, I do not see a valve in your system for this purpose. The only valve is the main fuel valve on the injection pump that is opened by the ignition signal. See the injector pump and fuel lines below. There is nothing to reset...

I have a 2002 vw jetta tdi diesel, the engine lite keeps coming on usually on a hill, but not always. sometimes it goes ou. i hooked up a code reader and code po234, overboost came up. what do I need to...

Boost is controlled by the N75 solenoid with vac' hoses to the vane controller built into the turbo.

When light comes on it indicates too much boost and will reduce fuel delivery to reduce power.
A '' key off/key on'' cycle will reset it if you on the road.

When an over boost occurs it is best to first change the N75 Solenoid Valve and or check the hoses from and to it for displacement or splits.

Before removing the valve, make a note of where the hoses fit.

Common component failure.

2006 jetta tdi oil change

Consult the Owner's Manual, or view the oil specifications on the fill cal or dipstick (usually the fill cap) located under the hood. Depending upon mileage you may not want to vary from manufacture specifications, or risk voiding your vehicle's warranty should any remain. The VW TDI's are typically high maintenance engines. I would strongly recommend staying with the manufacture's oil specifications, and do not overfill the oil in your vehicle.

Check the load reduction relay. I had this happen twice and repaired twice on my TDI mk IV. It throws no codes and almost has to be witnessed by a mechanic to be believed.

Replace oil pump and use the bigger filter that Vw tells you to. These 1.8's have some oiling problems due to the amount of oil they hold and they want you to use synthetic oil in them.

Either you threw a belt or the alternator went bad. Your symptoms sound like alternator...you were running on the battery till you ran out of power.
