SOURCE: to code engine immobiliser on
(1) look behind fuse box (2 x 10mm bolts then ease it downwards), look for black box with green sticker behind fusebox, unplug and replug wires (white plugs) several times, they suffer from corroded connections. (2) wiggle wires around that box and fuse-box. (3) take it to Alfa dealer for check-up, if parts and re-code needed usually around £250.

SOURCE: alfa romeo 147 flashing dasboard
This is so you can set it, just set or reset the time on the clock and it will stop flashing, same thing with the km,move from km to miles and back, if you want km then set to km but if you want miles then go to miles but you must select through it, good day.

The engine and transmission in this cars drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant teperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL THE DIAGNOSIS & TESTING IS COMPLETED.

Testimonial: "Thank you just waiting on someone to get to my car so it can be tested, fingers cross."
have done one a while ago but dont remember exactly but i seem to remember a spring loaded tensioner and for this you put a ring spanner on the bolt and lock another ring spanner to end of this one and turn ,cannot remember which way as some cars turn one way or the other with a left handed thread on this bolt ,sorry i do so many different makes of vehicles i cannot remember them all offhand like a dealer fitter
