I need the correct timing marks for a 96 miata 1.8

The E mark on the left camshaft pulley should line up with the E mark on the camshaft cover. The I mark on the right camshaft pulley should line up with the I mark on the head. There is also a notch on the top of the bottom pulley that needs to line up with the cast pointer above this pulley. I like to mark stuff when I am taking it apart with white paint, it is easy to see when putting stuff back together. The www.miata.net/garage has some help on this.

Will 1992 miata side mirrors fit exactly on a 1996 miata

The above is a good explanation of accessing the mirror but to answer your question directly, yes, they will fit. All the 90-97 mirrors are interchangeable with the exception of installing later power mirrors onto a 90-91 Miata where it wasn't a factory option. They will mount up fine but do require enlarging the center hole where the wires need to run.

Manual window winder just spinning and not opening window. My car is a Mazda MX5 Mark 1 1.8 1996 model.

You either need a new window crank itself, the inside of the crank could be stripped, you move the crank and out at it to see if the splines are wore away. Or your window regulator, inside the door, has gone bad and would need replaced.

Ignition timing

put a mark on the timing notch on the harmonic balancer, ( the large puuuley at the bottom of the engine that connects to the crank shaft ). remove your # 1 spark plug and put a long screw driver in the cylinder, turn the engine over by hand until the timing mark is at the correct timing mark and the # 1 cylinder is at top dead center ( at the top ). then set the distributor back in the engine wth the rotor pointing to the # 1 cylinder this will bring you very close to where you need to be. you may end up being a tooth out or you may be able to finish pinpointing the timing with a timing lite by just turning the distributor.
