SOURCE: How do you change rear

Try penetrating oil on the lug nuts where they meet the drum. Let it penetrate and gently tap the back edge of the drum while turning it. I just pulled mine off today and it required a lot of patience. My adjuster was inaccessible as the adjustment hole(s) were still sealed from the factory

SOURCE: 2004 dodge ram 1500 rear brake light out how to replace?

Open up the tail gate, you will see two torque screws on the inside beside the tail lights. take these out, this will free up the housing and you can change it from there.

SOURCE: need instructions on how to replace rear drum

1/2 ton drums just slide off after the wheels have been remove. you might have to hit the drum with a hammer on the inner side by the backing plate because they wear a grove after a while making them hard to remove.

Feels like rear end in bouncing or shutter when braking only thru 25 to 20 mph do not feel anything in the brake pedal. only for that 5mph. 2004 Dodge ram 4x4 short wheel base

check brake pads /shoes for lining thickness if drums check for ovality in the drums surface or disc condition
check rear end suspension rubbers and shockys.
check for correct operation of the brake portioning valve as the condition may be from the rear wheels locking up
if it has ABS braking it may be the braking action , a combination of the items to be checked that is causing the problem

Cant cant remove rear drum brakes on 2001 ram 1500

You need to remove the rubber plug on the back of the shoe hold down plate. Next you need a brake adjusting tool or a flat screwdriver to back off the adjuster. This operation will take a few turns depending on how deep a groove has been worn in the drum. If it is tightening, you've gone the wrong way. Next remove the drum. Hope this helps you. Good luck!

1999 Dodge Ram 1500 conversion van rear brake hammering

Are the brake shoes on right, there are two size shoes, One shoe has a longer brake lining then the other. The short brake lining is towards the front of the van and the longer brake lining is towards the rear. The rear brakes also may need to be adjusted, you can do that by going in revers in a empty parking lot and push the brakes as hard as you can to stop the van. Don't give your self a whip lash, just push down gradually and as far to the floor you can about 7 to 10 times. The self adjusters should adjust the brake on both sides, try this first before you take the brakes apart again. It may just need a adjustment and after that check the brake fluid in the master cylinder. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted, be glad to help
