SOURCE: no power at fuel pump chev.S-10 looking for fuel pump relay and fuse

The fuel pump relay is located Under hood, driver side, upper firewall, mounted in relay block.

The fuse is located under the instrument panel to the left of the steering column. The fuse block should be visible from underneath the steering column, near the pedal bracket. If the panel is not visible, check for a removable compartment door or trim panel which may be used on later models to hide the block.

The fuel pump relay is powered by a fusible link connected to the starter solenoid on the positive battery terminal. That fusible link feeds the 10 amp fuse near the relay. You can test the fusible links with a 12 volt test lamp. If the fusible link test okay check for an open circuit in the wire between the link and the 10 amp fuse. Hope this gets you fixed.

Where can I access the fuel pump wire to check that it has power? What color am I looking for? 2007 SR5 5.7L double cab w/8 foot bed.

Go under the truck and pull the connector at the pump, why is this best way, why do it that way?? Well by going to the pump connector you are making sure the fuel pump wiring is good all the way to the pump without any break in the line from the fuel pump relay. Keep in mind the pump is only powered up while the engine is being started and of course running, so it is best that you jump the relay socket so the pump is always powered up. Most relays have a diagram on them showing which terminals are power in and power out.

I have a 2007 chevy impala. I replaced the windshield washer pump and checked/replaced the fuse. I get a 12V spike to the pump when trying to wash the window and then no voltage. Is there a relay som

there is no relay.
- check if there is dirt in the water tank which might stuck the pump and blow the fuse.
- also check all cables to the windshield washer pump if they are damaged and cause a short somewhere.
- or the wiper switch in the dashboard might be faulty?

I have a 03 Hyundai accent I just replaced the fuel pump I have no power to the fuel pump I've checked the fuses and the fuel pump relay it won't start I'm not sure what to do next

Do you have a test light? If not, go buy a cheap $5 test light-one with a lead to clip to a ground, and with a needle type probe.
Pull the fuel pump relay out of the terminals it is plugged into-you need to check if the power feed for the pump is still available at the relay. Clip the test light lead to a ground and touch the test probe to the positive battery post-to check that your ground is good- tester should light up. Now touch the probe to all of the terminals that the relay plugs into. One terminal should have power with key off. If no terminals have power, you have lost the power feed for the pump. Double check all your maxi fuses in the power distribution box. Either a maxi fuse or a fusible link will be the power feed for the fuel pump relay.
If the power feed is there at the relay, try a new relay. If still no pump, a shop will probably have to check your fuel pump circuit.
Did you check for power at the fuel tank while the key was held in crank? When the engine is cranking, the fuel pump wire should have power. When the key is turned to on, the fuel pump should have power for about 2 seconds, to pressurize the fuel system. Then when key is turned to crank or start, the fuel pump should stay on.

No fuel pressure. checked the relay and fuse. no pressure at fuel rail so I replaced the fuel pump still no pressure.

if the fuse and the relay is good then you will have to check the powers and grounds at the connection for the pump at the tank.have you replaced the fuel pressure as if its plugged you won`t get any pressure.i trust you checked the pressure with a gage as just pushing on the schrader valve is not checking the pressure.

My fuel pump isnt getting any power to it at all and its brand new. My car will turn over but it won't start..HELP..also we've tested the relays and the fuse.

If the fuse and relays are good, then it is most likely a wiring problem.

First using a test light or meter, make sure you have power to the fuse when the ignition is on.
With help from someone, make sure the relay is engaging. This can be done by feel (should be a faint click when engaged) or with a meter.

From there, trace the wiring to the fuel pump.

Fuel pump trouble shoot

You can use a voltmeter and test the power to the fuel pump. You can test power to the fuel pump relay as well. You can test the fuel pump relay with an ohmmeter on the RX1 setting to see if it is good. Make sure to check your fuses as well. Another good test is a fuel pressure test.
When you first turn your car's acc. on without starting the car, you should hear the fuel pump prime itself up for about 5-10 seconds. You should be able to hear it pump.

No start 09 impala 30% fuel in tank hear pump run fuse/relay good

This is still a new car try not to do anything to void warranty. I know if you could get to run most likely would drive it to dealer. When your spraying the choke cleaner it is going directly into the intake to the piston area, fuel from the tank must go through the injectors which are electrically controlled, before making it to the pistons. Due you have power to the injectors when motoring the engine over. Remember you must have a very strong battery on todays new cars when attempting start it has to turn quickly. Check wiring diagram to see where injector harness power feed comes from and follow back. I hope this helps God Bless

01 chevy impala. power mirrors and gas gauge not working

Check all fuses and relays. As far as the gas gauge, you may need a new fuel pump, fuel pump relay, or the float on the fuel pump is loose or came off from ear and tear. The mirrors: check the fuses; also, check, or have the button panel in the door checked to ensure the connection are secure. May need a new switch for the mirrors. I am not familiar with this vehicle; but this is what I suggest doing to solve the issues.
