SOURCE: 05 Equinox not able to remove right rear brake drum

Hiya...
Most rear brake-shoe design take some time to adjust than disc brakes...
If you have a special brake adjustment tool that your local automotive store sells, get this tool and pull out the rubber grommet plug, insert the brake adjustment tool until you 'feel' or hear the sound of 'skipping' on the brake self-adjuster spool inside as you wiggle /adjust the tool inside....(push it inside to get a firm feel that you can 'spin' it)
Try to push the tool downward or upward to check if that'll spin the brake self-adjuster part smaller to allow the brake shoes to 'shrink' which should allow you easy removal of the rear brake drum as you wiggle it out.

Be sure not to breathe in toxic brake dust upon successful brake drum removal.

SOURCE: I have a blown rear speaker in my 2005 G6 4dr sedan.

From the trunk area. You would need to sort of lay down in the trunk ( Not comfortable! ) and look up at the back deck and you will be able to see where the screws are to drop the speakers down. There may or may not be plastic or insullation that you need to pull down first though. Hope it helps!

SOURCE: 2005 equinox. rear drive shaft

No this will NOT work. This could possibly ruin the transfer case on the car if you try to drive it with no rear drive shaft.

Crankshaft seal on a 2005 chevy equinox

If you're looking for the seal -have a look on Ebay:
1 042results for equinox crankshaft seal

If your question relates to a leak, a classic symptom of a leaking crankshaft seal is drips of oil from the bell housing - where the transmission attaches to the engine. It only leaks when the engine is running.

To replace the seal you need to remove the transmission/clutch/flywheel assembly -or in the case of auto transmission - the torque converter which attaches to the rear of the engine.

To remove the old seal you simply prise it out with a screwdriver, lubricate the new seal and gently tap it into position. However as mentioned, you need to remove the transmission first..

How do i check allowable movement in rear drive shaft differential on a 2005 chevy equinox

There is no "cheking"to be done other than what you have done already. The movement,ANY movement, only means the universal joint is shot and needs replaced.I'm sure you've noticed a steady vibration. It's coming from bad U-joint.Replace it.

You don't pry anything

You replace the Wheel Brg Hub

Look on Rock Auto or Napa to see what they look like

Unless you have some experience & a lot of quality tools
I doubt your going to do that job at home
