SOURCE: where in the transmission is

The transmission soleniods are located inside the transmission, the control unit that tells them what to do is located at the bottom center of your dash area, mounted to the floor. Hope this helps, let me know.

How many quarts of transmission fluid does an 2007 grand prix hold

Depending on how much of the fluid is actually removed the fluid capacities are as follows:

Since some transmission fluid is generally trapped inside the transmission during service, the actual number will depend on how much of the transmission was serviced.

What is trouble code p1811c?

replace the pressure control solenoid on the transmission, is it shifting hard??
Its located underneath the side cover of the tranny. You may have to lower the sub frame to gain clearance to get the cover off, then its easy.

There should be an electric solenoid on the side of the transmission that controls overdrive, if it is not the cause then the friction plates inside the transmission will need to be replaced.
