What causes overheating on 92 olds ninty eight with supercharger

over heating comes from the following conditions.1 blocked radiator cores (internal and external)-- 2 external fins have fallen off tubes--3 thermostat is inoperative or not there-- 4 insufficient coolant---5 timing is wrong---6 air /fuel mixture too lean--7 fan is not working ( check electronics if electrical or replace viscous fan hub if mechanical)--- 8 blocked exhaust system--9 air blockage in the cooling system ( bleed out the cooling system at the highest point)--10 incorrect tyre pressure --11 not engaging over drive in transmission--12 brakes dragging
With a supercharger fitted the compressed air after the supercharger is hotter than normal and this will alter the air /fuel ratio too lean---13-- check radiator hoses ( bottom is not sucking in at revs )--14 excessive oil in the sump and transmission. (transmission oil is cooled by a radiator in the radiator tank and excessive hot transmission oil uses the engine coolant to cool the box oil.. Just some ideas to check and eliminate on the way to solving the problem.

How do i change the oil in my super charger on my 2001 pontiac grand prix gtp? What oil do i replace it with and will this cause transmission to stop working properly?

Start by removing the engine plastic cover. On the front of the super charger you will see a black allen plug. Using a T-27 allen wrench, unscrew this plug. Using a vacuum pump and small hose, suck out all 8 oz. of used oil. Install 8.oz of GM Goodwrench supercharger oil. Reinstall plug. Engine should be warm when doing this.

Can i put a supercharger on a 08 3.7L grand cherokee 2WD. and can i get the instructions on how to install one.

Factory non-supercharged engines are not really designed for use with a supercharger.
A supercharger increases your cylinder pressure which will cause head gaskets to fail, or worse,
damage to the pistons, connecting rods, bearings and possibly even the block.
Next thing to consider is that the entire driveline was not designed to accommodate a large horsepower increase. So, even if you were incredibly lucky and the engine did not fail, you'd find yourself replacing transmissions, driveshaft joints, differentials and axles at an astounding rate.
A half decent supercharger would cost you over $1500. You cannot just bolt one on and expect it to work. In addition to the SC, you'd need to change/alter your ignition system and add a far better exhaust system as well as altering your fuel delivery system. Doing that properly would run at least the same as the supercharger costs. So even if what I said about damage was false (which it's not) You could expect the entire install to cost double what you thought.
Much easier to buy another vehicle with a larger engine or install a larger one in yours (including computer and harness, with the transmission made for that engine).
So, available or not, it's not a good idea though it sounds impressive to say you have one on your vehicle. Even on race cars, they need constant attention and are only used when it's absolutely necessary to be competitive in a particular class.
Sorry if you are disappointed, but those are the facts!!!!

Would replacing a power steering pump in a 2002 Grand Prix GTP Supercharger cause the SuperCharger belt to break.

The supercharger belt is on the main drive, the water pump is on the accessory drive. Provided that they are both properly installed of course.

Need to replace supercharged engine and trans. in a 96 Riviera

Faster and safer to drop the whole unit from the bottom with the cradle. Replace the supercharger snout bearing and seal before you install the replacement engine and the supercharger belt. Also replace the boost valve to your transmission just to ensure your getting the proper transmission line pressure throughout your transmission.
Thank you for using fixya and be safe

98 grand prix gtp tranny

The tranny is called a 4T65E-HD(heavy duty). The rebuild kits are the same for both supercharged and non-supercharged cars. The occasional harshness is caused by the EPC solenoid hanging up from wear. I recommend installing a Superior Shift Correction kit, 4th clutch hub (the splines strip), EPC, and TCC/PWM solenoid.

This combo works great!

91 Toyota Previa AWD - Swap original engine for Previa Supercharged engine

I do a lot of work on Toyota Previa before; including rebuilt engine, swapping engine and transmission and lot of things in between, but never swap a normal aspirated engine to a supercharged engine or diesel. Since i have some experience in Previa, I would like to share my opinion with you regarding your plan to swapping the normal aspirated Previa engine to a Supercharged engine. When you do a swapp like that, you will not only be dealing with just swapping engine, but some wiring, computer, throttle body, air cleaner assembly, extra frame and pulley on the accessory items, transmission as well as a right rear end to get the correct gear ratio to accomodate the new engine and transmission. I can go on even more, but let me tell you this, beside less headache, it would definitely cheaper if you were to find a Supercharged Previa and fix it up. However, if you are totally motivated to do this project, keep in mind, this engine swap will be a long term and time consuming project.l I wish you best of luck and have fun!

2005 H2 SUT problems

how often is the belt breaking? excess revolutions can cause premature wear. flushing the cooling system with the proper cleaners, refilling with dexcool and DISTILLED water can reduce the engine temp in h1's by at least 10 degrees in the desert. this i have done. also if the cooler for the transmission has not been upgraded to handle the new trans you will still get an overheat. you can also put a electric fan on the trans cooler. the belt may not be aligned properly.
