Where is the pvc hose on a 99 ford explorer

Randallalt@aol.com U have v8 ? PCV is located ,drivers side rear totally to rear and down of value cover , behind the head , use mirrors to see black hoses! Use caution when pulling on hoses apart ! Pull hose off larger end of PCV ,start engine , place finger over PCV , if suction is good of PCV no need to replace pcv (unless pcv is oil soaked.). Reconnect hoses . Good luck

I need to change the PCV on my Ford Focus 2.3l ZX3 and cannot find it. Where is it located?

i don't think it has a pcv valve, if it does it will be in the valve cover. i think that year has a tube running from the valve cover to the throttle body and is controlled by a servo

I NEED to replace the pcv value in my 1991 buick century custom 3.3 engine car. how do i do that

Ok when you're looking at your engine look at the valve cover with a black rubber hose with a funny plastic piece which fits into a rubber grommet in the valve cover. This is the pcv positive crankcase ventilation valve. Remove the pcv from hose after you've obtained a replacement throw it away insert it into the hose then the valve cover and you're good to go

2002 GMC Envoy Pcv value location

Actually the 4.2 liter engine (2002 Envoy) it does have Positive Crankcase Ventilation, just no valve. It has a PCV tube which provides a passage between the crankcase and the intake manifold. Not a maintenance item to be concerned about, unless the tube gets clogged up!

Good luck and hope this helps answer your question.

Clogged pvc valve

IT IS CAUSED BY ENGINE BLOWBY(COMPRESSION GETTING PAST THE PISTION RINGS)KEEP CHANGING THE PCV VALVES IT IS MUCH ,MUCH CHEAPER THAN REBUILDING THE ENGINE

Easiest way to find the PCV on a 2000 ZX3 (ZTEC engine)is to stand directly in front of the engine and look at the right side of the oil filler cap. From there, approx 10 inches directly below the the right side of the cap, you will see a black rubber hose/tube (3/4 inches)inserted into a rubber grommet--the PCV valve!! If you were to follow the hose/tube back through the emission components, you would find it connects to the lower rear of the throttle body.
