Open Question

Crank trigger wheel fitment

VW Polo 1.4 16v 2002 BBY It was suggested that the hole in the wheel should be in the 5 O'clock position and the minus 2 tooth in the 9 O'clock position, but that is imposible due to that the two is opposite of each other. For example if the hole is at the 6 O'clock position then the two tooth gap is at the 12 O'clock position. Could anyone please be so kind and help me on this. I have tried the agents in Cape Town but with no luck

SOURCE: MISFIRING ON CYLINDER 1 VW POLO 1.4 3CYLINDER

I have changed a few cylinder heads under warranty for this type of problem. The exhaust valve guides wear, this causes the exhaust valve to seat badly, giving low compression. if one cylinder compresion reading is more than about 50 psi below the others, then this warrants head removal. It is quite a job, due to the fact that the camshft id chain driven. If you are up for it then once the head is removed, poor liquid into the exhaust ports and see if it leaks out through any of the exhaust valves.

SOURCE: VW POLO AIRBAG LIGHT

Take it to a mechanic. It sounds like your Airbag Control Module is bad. Do not attempt to fix it yourself, airbag systems are dangerous.

2002 VOLVO S80 T6 CODE P0017

the word correlation means relationship between two or more items . In this case it means that when the crank shaft sensor is triggered then the camshaft sensor has to be in agreement that the position of the piston and valves is in the right position to allow spark and fuel.. there are air gaps between each sensor and the rotor that triggers them and if this is not correct or there is dirt in the air gap ( the sensors may be a bit advanced or retarded in the fitment holes) then this relationship of positions is being interfered with and so you get the fault code. If after rechecking the fitment of the sensors and using a scanner to put the engine light off ,you still have a problem ,I would suggest that you find an accredited shop the does a lot of work on your make of car to assist with the fault.
