Probably needs a new dash switch or there could be something obstructing the fan, hens more power to get it to move and the noise.

HONDA BALLADE 160I CUTTING OUT AT 3500 RPM

The Nippon-Denzo Distributor's are known to have problems. I had the same issue for 3 months where it would cut out and sometimes, actually kill my car. Finally I spend the $200 and put a new Distributor in the car and it fixed my problems. there are 2 different Distributors for your car, make sure you get the right one or it will not work.

check oil and coolant levels. Check the fault codes . Remember that with extreme weather conditions the items like oil and coolant freeze and problems occur from this.;

The temperature guage goes up and the car starts sputtering on a 1998 honda civic. Is it the water pump? the thermostat, the fan motor relay. The engine was just replaced as the timing belt went and this...

The normal rule of thumb is to start ruling out the little things before the big.

Process of elimination..

Check:

1. coolant level>leaks
2. quality of coolant.
3 check for blockages /air locks by squeezing hoses.
Take off your rad cap. Squeeze the coolant hoses. u should see the
effect of the squeezing in your rad level/resevour.
None of your hoses should be solid upon squezing them.
If they are , u have an air lock /blockage.
3 You can rule out the relay for the fan motor if it kicks in.
It should kick in around the 1/4 way mark on your gauge.
4.Check all fuses relaeted to water pump etc.
5.,Most commonly, it is the thermostat....for as little as they are worth, try one.
6. Listen under the hood when the engine is running, IF you hear a
whining, see if you can tell if it is coming from the water pump area.
If so, odds are your water pump bearing is shot.

Good luck.

Why is my honda hesistaing

simply add a can of SEAFOAM(parts store) to a 1/2 tank of Premium gas, and let it idle for 5 minutes. You've got water and corn by product in your lines from the ethanol gas. Common problem now EGS(ethanol gas syndrome). Give it a chance to work.

its a sure problem due to mechanical failure done/occured due to vehical's sudden jurk, or mal fixing of A/C elements during vehical serives, kindly go for the company serive station, without wasting much of time, as due to perssure building up in compressor may lead to further damage to the system, and please avoid you yourself fixing of the things, if you are not well expertised in it. thank you.
