Question about Nissan XTrail
Hi there, i owned Xtrail 2.0 T30 and have some problem where it cannot start up. I have changed the spark plug, and service the air intake filter, replace with new set of fuel pump and the most i have did was replace set of CAM and Crank angle sensors. The problem still exist, there was a time the car can start for a while, but most of the times (since last week) it was not able to start... Any idea of what else shall i do?

Most Chrysler cars do have an anti-theft system that can cut out the engine.
I would call the service department, with your VIN handy, and see if yours was equipped with one, and what you need to reset it.
If that isn't the problem, your EGR valve might be bad, or the sensor for it. I've seen a lot of cars where if either the valve itself, or the sensor are malfunctioning, the car won't run properly.
I would also check your MAF and IAC, as those can cause the car to not run.
If you can, get an OBDII code scanner, and pull the codes from your car, they might give you a more specific place to look. (Most parts stores will let you take one home, you put a deposit down, and get it back when you bringthe scanner back to them)

SOURCE: car wont start
check your fuel pressure it should be 35 psi .fuel pump relays dont go out but check all fuses with test light there is a fuel injector fuse but most likely problem is your fuel pump!

Check ecm for number 1228253. If it has this one in it you will have a cutting off problem. Gm replaced these with #16198264 The cam sensor magnet on the cam gear will deteriorate and give problems. This will require removal of the timing cover.

did you use aftermarket crank sensor? if so that might be your problem. dealer has several different ones, by providing vin number, but there is only one after market for all optimas 01-05. try to connect thick pink wire and thick orange wire together on the ignition failure sensor. you might have the same problem as me. good luck.
