SOURCE: mercedes c180 fuel gauge giving mix reading

You can try to clean the ground behind the instrument cluster to see if that helps but most likely the sending unit has gone bad in the gas tank.

SOURCE: Fuel gauge not give proper reading.. register full

Sorry to say,but the fuel sending unit is the problem, the fuel tank will have to be lowered out of the vehicle to replace the unit.If the fuel sending unit is not available by itself you will have to replace the whole fuel pump assembley.

SOURCE: strong raw fuell smell inside the car intermitantly

Usually, what you smell inside the car is coming thru the vent from the engine compartment.
So it could be a leak around the engine or the vapor canister. Its possible the canister gets overloaded from time to time when the computer vents the gas tank to the canister. A very small leak can be a very strong smell inside the car.

My car will not stay running

it seems you have a leak in your fuell pump.can you see many bubbles if you put the fuell line in a bottle and start.
also check air filter and gas filter.leaks in fuell pump is hardly not to see whit naked eye.thats why use a transparent bottle.

2004 toyota solara v6 got codes 171 and 174. cant seem to find vacuum leak and o2 sensors seem to be working fine. what else do i try?

lean codes and you have no others? Low fuel pressure? timing belt correct? it can be correct for one head but not on both. The O/2 Sensers may seem to be OK at idel but the fuel pressure may go away at high loads. The sensers need to be read as the car is being driven. The fuel pressure gauge can be taped to the windshield and read as driving. High load the pressure should go up not down. If it does the filter next the pump then the regulater are the order the replace them. Sales of pumps are high for this car so don't overlook what everybody else are doing to fix this car. systoms? hesa tate? Pull strongly and them coast, Letr off and hit it again and it pulls good but not l;ong?

Seems like car isnt getting enough fuel to get started

Cold start fuelling is controlled by a small sensor located in the thermostat housing. This sends information to the ECU and the ECU will determine the mixture based on that info.
This can also have a bearing on the fuelling when the car is hot.
This is deffinately something you should change, they are usually around $12 or £10
Hopefully once changed the car will be fine.

Extreme miss in engine

Hi ,
Ok you`ve done the usual components that fail now you need to plug into the system and read the live data and let the engine show you what it see`s the problem should be fairly obvious, you need to check the inlet hose for leaks and they also have a crankcase ventilation pipe under the inlet manifold that fails giving an air leak LeaN MIXTURE =MISFIRE the live data will show you the mass air flow sensor readings and also the engine coolant sensor can cause misfiring by over fuelling fouled plugs or black carbon deposits on the plugs,to be honest the possibilities are infinite unless you have the right dedicated jaguar software a simple code reader is ok but will only give basic data, hope this helps

Fuel gauge seems to stick -- irratic readings

I've researched this problem thoroughly as all of my gauges on my '04 Bonneville GXP are producing erratic readings. The only two solutions are to replace the entire cluster which can cost in excess of $700 or replace the six "stepper" motors behind the cluster. Replacing them can only be done by deslodering the old ones and soldering in replacement ones.
