SOURCE: ford mondeo bonnet lock

This is a very common fault on the fords, if i get one in, i generally soak it in WD40 then keep working it back and forward untill the mechanism releases.
If the lock is completely gone then ive had to go as far as breaking the grille off and opening it manually with a scrrewdriver, but this is last resort.

Good luck

1. Put the car inside a garage where the temperature is above +5 Celsius degree, and wait for one hour for thawing the bonnet locking mechanism. 2. Spray an antifreeze product into the key hole of the bonnet locking mechanism in order to thawing it. Try again to release the catch. 3. Flush some warm water upon the bonnet locking mechanism in order to thawing it. Try again to release the catch. 4. SOURCE: i have a 2008 ford kuga 2.0 tdci 4x4 when its below 5ºc it will not start i have pluged a snap on scanner in and has come up with a fuel pressure fault any ideas ?

Diesel fuel tends to be sluggish to pump in cold weather and that is why some diesel cars and trucks have heaters in the fuel tank to overcome this problem. However I tend to think that the glo-plugs are not working as they should be. Have them tested . The fuel pressure fault may be the inability of the pump to pump enough fuel to do the job.

Ford focus estate - open bonnet

On my 05 model, you need to twist the ford badge on the bonnet anti-clockwise, pushing the left side of the badge down, which will reveal a keyhole. This is then opened with your ignition key. Once the bonnet pops, you just need to release the bonnet catch.
Hope this helps.
