Just found it on a 2014 Tiguan. Found clues on vwwatercooled.com.au forum. Anyway on mine, it is in the boot. Needed to lift out the lid over the spare wheel then remove that, then the foam tray, and it is on the right side on the metal floor. Pretty obvious really .... ;-] Leemac

-Possibly. depend on how it was build.
-If the panel cover the it all around, it has to be remove to get to.
-If it sit on the panel and screw or bolt to the frame. Just remove
only the switch.

It is easier to get to from under the Car, then you can just reach up and snap it in place

Have you checked on you tube to see if anyone has posted a video on how to do that yet?

1. Open the door
2. On the inner door appature above the lock there should be two holes one ovalish shaped and one round.
3. insert any type of hook tool into the round hole. There should be a latech type mechanism to pull undone.
4. remove cap part of door handle by gently prying and then wiggling out.
5. slide main door handle toward the now vacant hole and that will come out too.

remove the front bumper to get access to remove the headlight

open door look inside for clips take off inside cover removes from inside under panel.

Removal:
- Remove footwell trim -1- on front passenger side.
- Remove partition -2- from heating unit.
- Release cover -3- in direction of -arrow-.
- Remove dust and pollen filter downward out of heating unit.




Install in reverse order of removal.

I would imagine you could tell if a VW was imported or not by what units the speedo was in, km or mph.
