Question about 2002 Ford Crown Victoria
When im driving and turn the wipers on they both skip the window hald way cleaning coming down ive taken the cowel apart the bar that runs from one pivot point to other is loose ? unknown to me if that normal..... and the passagenr ball where the wiper on sits moves up and down unlike the driver side please help
The springs in the wiper arms go bad -replace the arms and that should help the holding onto the windshield problem as far as the loose-try a junk yard at least to get your hands on another car like yours and see what its like-then you could buy what you need if you can figure out what part has failed- cheers Denny

Sounds like the spring has broken in the wiper arm. If you pull the cover off of the base of the wiper arm there will be a screw. Remove the screw and pull straight out on the base of the arm. That will release it from the actuator. You should be able to pick one up at a parts house for about $20 to $40 dollars or you could shop a salvage yard for about $10. Hope this helps. Good luck. Please re-post with updates. Thanks cj2176.

The bar that connects to the arm that connects to the motor came off. Remove wiper motor to get to that connection, Autozone will have that part in there (help) line.

the parts in order for this wiper system has 4 items involved.
the wiper motor, the wiper transmission, the wiper arms, and the wiper blades
if the bushing is too hard to install its destroyed and it will jamb up on you
replace the transmission unit is the best option to do
