Brakes my brakes was bad i need to 2 pumps before it will stop

If you have to pump the brakes to stop, that is usually a sign of a bad brake master cylinder with leaking internal seals.

You are right except you need to find out which is the culprit.

What you describe could be warped brake rotors or bad wheel bearings. Doesn't sound like the power steering pump.

make sure that there is fluid in the master cyl. and then you need to bleed the brakes, always bleed from the farthest wheel from the master cyl. first, to the closest wheel last. there is air in the system, you can test this by pumping the brakes and they will get harder as you pump.

abs module may be bad if brakes are being applied or the pump is oscillating without pressing the brake pedal.

check brake fluid and for leaks.if everything is ok your master cylinder maybe going bad.i have a 2004 i have a bad master cylinder.

More than likely you do have a bad master cylinder. Replace it as soon as possible beause it will progressively get worse.

Mushy brakes are almost always 1 of 2 things:

1. Air in the brake line; when brakes where changed they weren't bled; this would cause a soft brake pedal.
2. Most common reason for a soft pedal is a bad master cylinder. Once they become faulty they fail to provide the pressure required to adequately stop the vehicle.

Either way, have this checked out at a brake shop immediately. A soft brake pedal is not something to be fooled with.

it could be that the master cylinder is bad or the brake booster is bad also check the vacum hose going to the brake booster if it has a hole in it it will lose pressure and make the engine lose rpms

Sounds like your master cylinder is shot. Go to a parking lot, stop, and pump the pedal a bunch of times. Then get out and see if there is any fluid leaks by any of the wheels. That would indicate a brake line leak. My first guess, however, is your master cylinder.
