SOURCE: 2004 Chrysler Pacifica Fluctuating Fuel Gauge Indicator

Hello, the answer to solve this problem is to take it to your nearest chrysler dealer and have them re-flash the updates to the ecu....since 2004, chrysler has had about 4-5 new updates since the date they were manufactured....you need to have the update that followed from your date of man. on your vehicle....They attempted to flash mine to the latest update and didnt work, turns out that they need the re-flash from back when...in order to get the gauage to stop fluctuating.....Hope this helps!!

SOURCE: when my 2004 pacifica gas

I think that your fuel level sending unit inside the fuel tank may be at fault. Because the sending unit is immersed in fuel, and the float arm is constantly moving as the fuel sloshes around inside the tank, the sending unit can eventually wear and send an erratic signal to the instrument cluster. Another type of failure can occur if the sending unit becomes coated with deposits from fuel that will also affect how accurate the sender signal is. Before replacing the sending unit I would try using a fuel injector cleaner that has the additive "Techron" in it to see if this would clean off any accumulated deposits on the sender and restore it to working order. I've had pretty good results using this approach on several vehicles in the past few years and if it doesn't help you're not out much more than the cost of the cleaner. Good luck, hope this helps!

I have a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica with 63,000 miles. It was a 1 owner (prior to me) & was well take care of with regular maintenance. The gas gauge will Not go above the 1/2 mark when filled completely full....

I do not own a pacifica but I do know quite a bit about cars and the digital read out gets in info from the gas gauge. so if the gas gauge is incorrect so will be the read out. I would start at the sending unit for the fuel gauge I bet you will find your problem there. The sending unit is most likely located in the gas tank

Chrysler pacifica 2007 cannot put much fuel in at a time. gas guage drops from half tank to empty in seconds

If you can't put much fuel in i's probably not empty! If there is not a big puddle of fuel underneath then your guage is broken.

Fuel guage does not work

The most common cause of an inop fuel gauge is the fuel level sender inside the gas tank is defective, this causes the gauge to read empty or just move a little when filled in some cases depending on where the break in the resistor that the float moves is located.

I have an 04 chrysler pacifica and once the gas level gets below a 1/2 tank it drops all the way down to empty?

you may have a problem with the fuel level sensor were the lower part of the sensor that indicates how much fuel there is below half a tank.the only way is to remove the unit from the tank and inspect for damage,it may have to be replaced.

MY 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA WONT TAKE FUEL, IT WILL IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH TIME HALF HOUR. THE DEALER SAID I NEED A NEW FUEL TANK FOR 900.00.

Check the vent on the filler tubes for bent or blocked areas.
As fuel goes in air must go out.
New fuel tank for $900! ouch!
It is not likely the tank.
But ......if the vents are OK and it is a defect in the tank ..... put a mint used one in.
