SOURCE: steering wheel moves back and forth when i brake 2004 ion

Sounds like your rotors are warped. First off, have the front wheels been off the car at any time recently? If so, someone may have reinstalled them and not torqued the lugs properly. Too much torque (or different torque on different lug nuts) can artifically warp the rotors. Also, hot rotors getting wet can warp (as if you slammed the brakes on or were braking severely on the way to the car wash, where you sprayed them down). Or, they could be just worn out. Chances are though that you'll need new rotors. Remember that when you change rotors, no matter how new the pads on your car may be, you need to put new brake pads on with them.

SOURCE: My steering wheel is locked

Somebody is going to have to take the steering column down and see what the issue is. The steering column is mechanically connected to the lock cylinder as an anti-theft provision.

Key wont turn in ignition

Often this is caused by steering wheel interlock. Try turning wheel a little back and forth while trying to turn key to see if key now turns. Some cars require stepping ******* brake pedal and if the switch at the pedal has failed or become dislodged this can happen.

What could it be when I can't get my key to turn the ignition ... my car was parked at work and when I returned to start it after work it wouldn't turn and my steering wheel wouldn't move.

It is possible that the steering lock is applying so much pressure on the key lock it will not turn. Try turning the steering wheel one way or the other way and then try turning the key.

Unable to turn the key in ignition...a little play in steering wheel, but key refuses to turn

Trying smacking the shifter hard to the park position which it is already. There is a lock that stops the ignition from unlocking if the gear selector not getting into the P position all the way.

1998 Ford Escort steering wheel lock will not unlock. Seems jammed.

The steering wheel was turned when the key was removed. So when you try to turn on the key, turn the wheel one way and the other way to release the pressure on the key. The key should turn ok.
Hope this helps.

My key will not physically turn in the ignition start, and my steering wheel appears to be locked. how do i unlock it? any other solutions?

Try turning the steering wheel a back and forth while trying to turn the key to start at the same time. Sometimes when you park, the steering wheel will turn a little and lock up on you. If that does not help then your ignition lock cylinder may be bad and require replacement. Its very detailed work to replace a lock cylinder and recommend a shop if that is the case.

I can't start my honda accord. the steering wheel is locked

Gently rock the steering wheel back and forth against each place it stops while trying to turn the key. DON"T use any force here! You may consider shooting a spray lube into the key slot also.
