SOURCE: my 1991 mazda maxima trunk will not open with the key and there is no inside latch

Hello there and welcome to fixya
If you have a rear seat and can remove it or get to the axcess panel for the trunk using a light of course to see with look at the lock and you will see 2 silver rods that go to it if you pull up on one of those rods it will take some muscle to do it but it will let you open the trunk from the inside then i would remove the lock and either have it repaired or replaced ok
Hope this helps Please keep me posted on how this is going
Best regards Mike

How can I get the trunk open on my 2009 Mazda Tribute

Try this, have someone push on the trunk lid while you hit the unlock, if that doesn't work you could carefully pry up under the latch with a screwdriver while the unlock is operating, make sure the battery is charged. I hope this helps, Take care. Merry Christmas

The trunk lock latch is in the lock position in the trunk and the key will not open the trunk in a 1994 pontiac grand am

Often, the trunk latch does not get lubricated enough(I can tell you from my dealer tech experience that places like Jiffy Lube NEVER service the body latches).Try pulling the release handle while some else "slaps" the trunk lid. This usually works on the hood, trunk, and remote fuel door release.I would see many Grand Ams that were only 2-3 years old with these problems.

Gas latch and trunk release fuse location

The Gas latch and trunk release fuse location is by your left foot on the drivers side of the vehicle. You will pull off a small plastic panel then open the door to the fuse box. The fuse is a 15 amp mini. Hope this helps

Trunk switch does not open remotely or from door panel

open the trunk with the key, look on the trunk latch for a (very) small flip latch, this is the valley parking lockout switch. Flip it to the other position, and retry. If that does no work then the cable is broken.
