SOURCE: Driver seat removal

If you have power seats just look underneath the seat and you can unplug the electrical connectors that go to any of the seat accessories. Then you can remove the seat. Sounds like the left side of the seat frame has broken that supports the seat back.

How do i get the back seats down to gain access to the trunk? It wont open

1. You either have a section of rear seat that folds down or you don't. Most cars do and those vehicles will have a manual tab just behind the seat that is connected to a cable that will release the trunk lock unless the lock is broken. So check the top of your rear seat sections for release buttons that enable a section of seat to be folded down. Then look just inside the opening for the manual cable release.

2. If you have a car with no section of rear seat that can be folded down, you will have to unbolt the rear seat to get access to the trunk. You need to remove the bottom section of the seat first. This will just pull up from the front and you can remove it from the car. Then you should be able to access the bolts that hold the upright section of seat in place.

04 G35 coupe. My trunk won't with the fob or the switch inside the car. I've previous comments that it's probably a broken wire. But how do I open the trunk to get to it? Thanks

If the rear seats fold down crawl in and pull the emergency release cable. If the seats do not fold down the fold the arm rest down and see if there is a trunk access window there. If there is you can use a long rod to pull the emergency release cable.

Toyota venza left rear seat fold down release cable is disconnected.how do I remove to replace

Releases in trunk is of no use: no tension/connection therefore cannot engage/pull the cable to release seat to go down. The lever on lower right side of rear right seat won't engage, just flops about.

2011 venza rear gate power release not working

There is an override switch just to the left of the change compartment near the drivers left hand. It is easy to activate the override accidentally. Just release the override.

Rear back seat will not release to fold down

U knkw where ur handles at the top of the seat if u pull them and ur seat will not release
Pull the screw in the front near center of seat in the plastic cover also there is one in the rear u will want to re move
U can access the latch look at ur cable it may be streached or broken.
They r simple to replace and don't cost very much from the dealer
The rear of the seat pulls up u will see snaps on the cardboard pop them and follow the cable
I have replace several. The other side the shorter seat u will need to remove the side cover of that seat to replace that cable. Those cables cost around 30.00 each. If u have torques bits u should be able to replace them.

He seow do i remove rear seat cushion in 2009 toyota camry

I just replaced my rear struts on my 2009 Camry Hybrid. This was the second time in my life I ever did this kind of work. The trick is to get access to the top of the strut. You have to fold down the back seat cushions. In my hybrid there are two pull levers in the trunk that release the seats. The levers are at the top of the trunk.

Once you fold down the seats, there will be two side cushions on the side of the seats that did not fold down. At the bottom of that side cushion, between the side cushion and the bottom seat is a bolt holding the side cushion on. It is way in the back so you will need an extension with a 12mm socket to get to the bolt. Dont be afraid to dig you had into the space to find the bolt. Once you unscrew the bolt, you can lift up on the side cushion and it will come out (lift upward). You now have a clear (and easy) access to the top of the strut.

2004 3rd row rear seat won't fold down using lever

Cable is broken or stretched. pick up the bottom seat and see the cable end if broken or slack from being stretched pull that cable and then the back should fold down. Ibelieve you will need to remove seat to repair the cable. the bottom seat when lifted pulls on a cable that releases the backs lock to fold down

I can't into my trunk there is something stuck therefore i need to fold down my rear seats and move it but i don't know how to fold them down I trie but i got nowhere

Be sure that your model has fold down rear seats...you should see the seperation around both rear seats...if equipped, the fold down release is located at the top corner of each rear seat...pull the lever up to release...if your model does not have the fold down option...you will need to remove the rear seat...remove the lower cushions first...look on the lower front of the seats for hold down bolts...second you will need to remove the top of the rear seat...hold down bolts are at the bottom of the top cushion...after removing the bolts (one each side) you need to push up on the cushion to remove...this will then allow access to the trunk...find the trunk latch and try to release by twisting the latch cable...Hope this helps...

1999 Tahoe rear seat relase quit working; can't fold down seat!

There is a cable that pulls the release when you fold down the bottom seat. Broken cable can be repaired by replacing cable.
