You can try shifting into manual 1 to get moving then once you get going shift the lever up into Drive. This should work, then drive it to a shop to have your ****** looked at.

SOURCE: Hello, have a 2003 Dodge Intrepid SE - 2.7L with 42LE Transmission - just replaced the solenoid pack and OD-UD, LR accumulators-new filter gasket and fluid - now it's giving me OBDII codes P0700 (

It sounds like you have a handle on this but I will ask the dumb question, are you coating the orings with petrolium jelly or trans assembly jelly? As far as the codes go, you might have a bad ECM. That mmany codes all at once seems suspect.

The problem when you get a p1776 code on 2002 dodge intrepid

P1776 is the code for soleniod stuck in low, reverse. Probably just need to have your fluid flushed and get a new solenoid pack.

Can you tell me if a 97 dodge caravan transmission 3.3 will interchange with a 3.8. This is the trouble i have had and have decided to put in Transmission. Driving down the road and van sounded like it...

1. Yes the 3.3 and the 3.8 are the same bolt pattern. But the gear ratio in the differential might be different.

2. Did you replace the filter and put it back together? Does it do the same thing after you changed the filter? If it was an electrical issue with speed sensors or the solenoid pack, reverse would still work.

I have a 2004 Dodge Intrepid SE and the check engine light has been on for several days. I took it to Auto Zone and they plugged in their tester. They gave me the following codes - P1776 and P0700. Please...

P0700 code is a generic code for Transmission Control System Malfunction

P1776 code means your solenoid switch valve is stuck in low reverse. (DTC 47) A stuck solenoid switch valve is a common occurrence in the valve body of the Dodge 41te transmission.

The first step would be to check the wiring to the solenoid from the TCM, then maybe try a new solenoid pack if the wiring is determined to be fine.

If adding transmission fluid doesn't help, then take it to a mechanic.

Rebuilding 1995 honda civic transmission

Did you make sure that the tork converter was all the way forward first if not then you will need to take the transmission back out and make sure that the converter has either automatic trany fluid in it or 184/85 gear oil depending on whether or not you have automatic trasmission or manual fill it up until you can put your finger in it and then rotate converter clock wise and it should slip into place before putting trasmission back into car and if after doing that and you still are having trouble take it to a transmission shop to have them do it for you.

P0700 is a code in the engine computer telling you that you have codes in the transmission computer. You need to have the transmission computer scanned.

No reverse gear but all other dears work

one of 2 things. 1 the reverse gear is out on transmission or 2, the trasmissions on chrysler are bad about computer module in transmission going bad. either way you are looking at a transmission rebuild. i use to have alot of plymouths and dodge taxi cars and a rebuild was usually 1500.00 you can get a good low mileage trasmission from a auto salvage for alot less.
